Christmas Day

We celebrated Christmas this year at our house. Nicki, Asher and Sid slept over Christmas Eve so the boys could all get up together.  Nicki and I had a lot of fun that night wrapping and setting up their big gifts, just imagining their little faces with bright eyes and big smiles in the morning.
Some of our favorite memories as children are Christmas ones.

My mama did such a great job on things like that. She loved to surprise us and every year we were with her we were always surprised. She would lay out all of our gifts from Santa each in our own spot in the living room. We wouldn't even have to be told which gifts were ours if they were not wrapped. She always knew exactly what we wanted.

Even though Shea and I have chosen to go with our own family traditions with Christmas I still like to pass on some of the Christmas magic to my own children.

William's big gift was a train set that Angela got for him. She wanted him to get it Christmas morning. We set it up in the middle of the night in his room so it would be the first thing he saw.
These are Asher and Sid's gifts. Asher got a batman train and Sid got a remote control train. Do you see a theme here?

I know I have mentioned on here that William loves cats.  He does!! He loves to see cat little commercials and pictures in books. He loves to visit people that we know that have cats. I thought it would be cute to get him a little kitten of his own for Christmas. This is by far his favorite gift. Daily he walks around with his "key."  Our new little pet goes everywhere with us.  And this is the best kind of pet to have!
Giving kitty a kiss.

Have I mentioned that William was VERY, VERY cranky Christmas morning. Toddlers sure can burst any kind of fantasy about a "magical" Christmas. Thankfully it didnt last long.
This turned out to be one of my favorite pictures from the day. I love the little tear drop.

Here is my future assistant.  He wanted a camera for Christmas, so who better than GoGo to get that for him. I consider it an investment since I may put him to work oneday.

Here are few more cranky pictures.....

Wouldnt you love to know what he is thinking!

And here is one of those magical moments that will hopefully last in my memory for a very long time.
