William is 11 months!!

Last Sunday on January 23rd William turned 11 months old. Where has this time gone? Shea was at work all day and I just took in all of these moments with him. Finding it so hard to believe that this baby stage is ending (or maybe it has already and I am in denial). Photobucket I realized that this the last time that I will think of him in months. I know I will continue to say 13 months, 18 months and so on. But it isnt the same.

He is developing and accomplishing new things daily. He started taking a few steps at a time that day and in just a short week he is walking all over the place. When he started taking a few steps we sat on the floor with him and tried to get him to walk back and forth to us and he would but he showed little interest in what was pure excitement and joy for his parents. I started to notice him playing alone and getting up to stand for a few seconds and then he would take off on his own. First I noticed one to two steps....then came three, four, five and more. He has great balance and had that down for a while. When he is toddling and begins to fall he has a great way of stopping himself and standing still until he gets it on his own.
Photobucket
But unfortunately that is not always the case. A few days into learning to walk on his own he did have a bad fall. He crawled into the kitchen following right behind me. He had a big block with him. I looked over at him and he had put the block in his mouth and before I knew it he took one step and fell. He started crying and grabbed him up and noticed his lip bleeding a little. He didn't cry long at all maybe 15 seconds. Then he went right back to playing. It wasn't until later that Nicki noticed when laughed that his front tooth was chipped. I did take him to the doctor and everything looked fine. There is no need to see a dentist until he is one. No real damage was done at all....to him anyway, it took his mama a few days to get over that one.

He saying some works now. Dada and sometimes he says bye. Most of them sound like babble so I hate to be one of those moms that claims every noise is a word.

He is more into making noise and singing. He sings a lot. He actually sings himself to sleep which is really cute. He has had a love for music for a long time. It calms him so easily. He and I listen to classical music through out the day. And when I do put a video on for him it is the Baby Einstein music ones. He jumps in his jumper with the music on. He mostly loves the bright colors and the faces. It has been a great way to get my school work done without having to chase him up and down the hall or worry about him getting into something. It is only about 30 minutes to an hour a week, which probably why it does keep his attention so well. So... this time next month I we will be celebrating ONE YEAR!! So I will enjoy this last month of being able to call him a baby and not really a toddler (even though he is toddling) he is still a baby....my baby, my 20.5 pound baby that is 11 months old.
Photobucket
Well this has been a quite a two weeks. I got a phone call from Nicki a couple of weeks ago that her house had burned to the ground and they had nowhere to go. So 3 days later we here we are with four extra people in our house. It has been noisy and exhausting but I am so happy to be close to them finally. They are looking for a house soon, so it will not be much longer but I have so enjoyed my nephews. William has had a ball with Asher. They play really well together. Mostly William studies him, watches him play and laughs with him. There is so much more that I would love to write, but I just wanted to at least get these thoughts and photos up before I forget.
What a great way to start the year.....a new beginning for my sister and getting to live in the same city as her and my nephews.

William and Sid, are so adorable together. They are 8 weeks apart. Sid is a giant baby!
In just the first week of Sid being here he started sitting up on his own and has begun to getting on his hands and knees.
Before he was sitting up William wasnt quite sure what to do with him. So most of the time he just tackles him.

Here are some more sweet moments. These were all taken when I had William and Sid by myself for the day. I have had my hands full and havent gotten any with Asher edited yet....but have no fear there will be PLENTY of Asher here.

And like I said earlier Sid is a giant. Even though he is 2 months younger than William he is 3-4 pounds heavier. They are alike in that they are both pretty good babies, but Sid is much more vocal than William is. He growls and grunts and screams. But all of that is just entertaing for William.
Photobucket
Only to add to the chaos of having 7 people in this small house, all 3 kids have had some type of cold for the last week and the 2 babies are teeething....ahhhhhh! But man oh man are they cute!
Photobucket
I just cant get enough of having a another baby to photograph around here.

I took these pictures last weekend. Shea was gone for the day so I took on the task of walking the dogs with William to the open field where we play sometimes. I dawned on me that morning that I was slacking off a little with photo taking so the opportunity presented itself to get some fresh pics of William. He was one week shy of 11 months old in these photos.

He has a fascination with leaves?!
Photobucket
I did put him on a blanket but he had other ideas.... and they did not involve staying in one place.
Photobucket

He loves to stand on his own.

Here is my big boy....always posing for the camera.

He really loves being around William. He would run and play with Moses and come back and check on William...then go play with Moses and then come back to William. He is really funny when we are out with the baby. He is guard dog through and through.
mmn
I think William should definatley feel safe. They just may be best buds in the making.

Photobucket
I just cant get enough of this precious boy!!!

Photobucket And here is a rare moment.....a smile for William. It is not really "rare" but when we are outside or anywhere that he discovering or taking in for the first time a smile is rare. He is such a focused and intense little thing.

what a sweet angel, I just wish it would quit going by so darn fast. Photobucket

Friends

We had the pleasure of keeping Wyatt and Ella a few nights ago while their mommy and daddy had a much deserved date night.

Photobucket
They are so sweet with William. Of course the dogs had be a part of playtime.
Photobucket
They love him so much that they fight over who gets to hold him. He is almost as big as they are so I am not sure how much longer this will last.
Ella's turn!!
Photobucket

We got to see them the following night too when we all went out to celebrate Shea's birthday at California Dreaming.
I must warn you that the quality of these pictures is awful, but too special to not post. I forgot to change it from manual seeting for Ricky to take this photo.

William and his Aunt B. She is so awesome! William sat in her lap the entire night. I dont know wanyone that is better with children than our very own Aunt B.

Photobucket

Not much to say about this photo. Just....thank God!

peek-a-boo

William loves to play peek-a-boo. He loves to stand on the back of the couch, lean over the side and make faces at me in the dining room.

Where did that smile go?

There it is!

William turned 10 months old the week of Christmas and now that things have finally slowed down a bit I can finally make it official on here.
What can I say about this 10 month old?! He is a trip!! Growing and learning so fast.
One of his biggest accomplishments is that he is stading on his own now.
Photobucket

I will never foget the day that he started doing this. I was cleaning the house all day on a Saturday. He and I were sitting in the kitchen floor, I was scrubbing the cabinet under the sink. He was in such a cheerful mood, playing with plastic bowls on the floor, coming over to me every few mintutes with a big grin and little chuckle. He put his hands on my knee and pulled himself up and then he let go! The funniest part was his reaction, his eyes got wide and he laughed with this excited/shocked laughed with delight over his big accomplishment. All day the rest of the day he did this. That quickly turned to doing it at the coffee table, couch...the dog.
Yesterday I caught him standing all on his own without pulling up on anything.
Photobucket
It amazes Shea and me all the time when we do something and he copies us. For a few weeks he has been babbling and saying the word "yeah" all the time. I am not sure if he has really picked that up, but I am putting it as his first word. Yesterday while babbling it sounded like he said dada. I picked him up and said it back to him and he repeated me, he said dada!
Photobucket
This boy is so funny! He grunts and strains like a wrestler sometimes. This is a picture of something like that.
Photobucket
I am loving this precious stage. It is going my so fast....too fast! Everyday it gets a little more exhausting, but at the same time it becomes more and more fun to be his mama.
