Easter

This Easter after church William and I went to Angela's house for the day.  It is one of William's favorite places.
He loves the pony, Sampson the doberman and all the old tractors.  He especailly loves her three kitty cats.

Here are some photos from the day.

Its a BOY!

We got to see the baby today.  The whole time the baby was curled up in a ball so we didn't get a good face shot.  Of course it is so exciting to get to see this little creature that is making me so sick and exhausted.

The biggest part of the day was finding out that we are having a little boy.  Shea was beyond excited.  He wanted another boy so bad.  Its funny, when I first found out I was pregnant I preferred a boy too.  Then the thought of a girl was nice and I convinced myself that I was actually having a girl.
I was in no way disappointed about this news. I am really excited to have 2 boys and for them be close in age.

We cant wait until August when we get to meet this little guy.

Puddle Jumping at Sunset

These are some photos I took after a day of rain at Aunt Theresa's house.

What could be more fun for a little boy than playing in rain puddles?

We love the beautiful sunsets there too.  William loves to run up and down the hill in her backyard.  Its even more fun when he has his buddy Willy with him.

We Miss Dada

The last few weeks have been hard for our little family.  Remodeling the house while living there proved to be much more difficult than we could have imagined.  It would be hard on anyone to live the we have had to but throwing a toddler in the mix multiplies the difficulty to the almost unbearable.  The discomfort of it all was bad enough but we knew it was time to make other arrangements when we saw that really it was just too dangerous and not worth the risk for William.  After he fell in the kitchen one afternoon, I heard cries like never before and Shea yelling for me to come quick.  I saw my poor little guy's face covered in blood.   It was scary. I scooped him up and ran to the upstairs bathroom.  He had fallen pretty hard on the concrete step in the kitchen. The mark was tiny in comparison to the amount of blood and thankfully there was no need for stitches or even a visit to the doctor.  We did call though to see if we should watch for any warnings signs to take him in.
That night while driving to dinner Shea and I decided that William needed to be out of the house.  We called Aunt Theresa and she was more than happy to let us stay with her.
It was hard for us to be apart from each other.  William and I really missed Shea and I know he missed us like crazy too.  It is just unatural for a family to live apart like that.  Shea came to visit us at least every other night and it was a good time for him to have the house to hisself as he prepared for finals.

Picnic at Hampton Park

Sacred Heart Catholic Church hosted a little egg hunt the week before Easter. Angela and Aunt Theresa wanted to take William so we packed a picnic and headed to Hampton Park. It is one of the most beautiful parks in Charleston.

It holds a lot of memories for Angela and Theresa too.  It is a place they went to almost daily as children.  But it has changed a great deal since then. It is still amazing but when they were children it was a park that had caged lions and tigers....and bears (oh my!)  Now the only wild animals are the over fed ducks and birds.

William loves to feed the ducks.

I know his Myma loves creating new memories with her boy.

There isnt a lot to say about out little picnic.  I think the pictures say it all.

It was a beautiful day at a beautiful park with a few of the most beautiful people that I know.
