These two boys are mess together.  I really enjoy watching them play and discover things together. They are only 8 1/2 weeks apart.

Well.....we have gone back to crate training Game since sometimes when we come home there are some not so great surprises we find.  So since the kids make big messes ALL the time I figure this is the way to go.......dont you?
The funny thing is that they do this to themselves all day!

Asher Turned 4!

We had a birthday party here at the house on Monday for Asher.
The theme was surfing. Anyone who knows me knows that I love to throw a party. I love everything about it. I love the planning, the decorating, the baking, cooking, entertaining....I love it all ......well, except the clean up. I can do without that part.
Here is the cake.
I was happy with the way it turned out. The brown sugar made excellent sand and surprisingly the wave wasn't too hard to make.

Here are some the decorations the creations that we came up with.

The best part for Asher was playing outside with his friends.   He loves that Ella!!!

While the big kids were playing in the yard they made the mistake of leaving their jello unattended.....no it wasnt the dogs that ate their jello......... it was SID!

Ella of course kept those boys straight!

What a handsome boy.

Opening presents.

Did they leave of this for me?

Cake time!

 I love that sweet expression.

Children at play.........

One of Asher's favorite gifts was a a super hero outfit.
Happy birthday to one of my favorite boys. I love you more than you can know my sweet Asher.

These photos are random. I just like them a lot and want to share.

Mama Ella for the Day

A couple days ago Ella came over to spend the day with William and me while Rob and Bonnie were at work.
I had so much fun with her. It was nice to have a little girl in the house. She was a big help too. I dont seem to get that kind of help from Asher.
She has the sweetest minnie mouse voice you have ever heard. And she says the funniest things.  She played "mama and baby" with William all day. She walked all over the house with him, "helping" him walk, and get down stairs. She would ask if it was time to feed him and if he needed changed. The funniest part of the day was when I was working on the computer she was being William's mama and she came over and asked if I would like to play. She said (in her Minne Mouse voice) "I am the mama and William is the baby.....you can be the grandma. Do you want to be called Nana or Grandma?"
That cracked me up so much!

She really enjoyed watching cartoons with William, which is something he rarley does but he was happy to watch anything with Ella.
She asked me what I had recorded that they could watch.  One of the options was Barney. She was very excited. She said "Wyatt says that Barney is a baby show, so I dont watch it at home. I will just come to your house everyday to watch Barney."

Ella loved pretending that Game was her pillow.

Game loved it too!
We loved having you Ella! Cant wait to do it again!

I shot a sunset wedding on Folly Beach. The reception went into the night and as I was packing up I saw this spectacular glow from the moon on the water. I was so tired and debated going for the shot but I couldn't resist.
I am glad I couldn't.

Playing in the Backyard

We spend a lot of time in the backyard. Especially when I have all three boys it is just the easiest way to entertain them.

I love to watch the way these two interact. They have interesting conversations. Asher mostly needs someone to sit and listen to every word he says.William loves to hear him talk. They are a match made in heaven!

While they play and entertain each other it gives me a chance to make phone calls, do yard work and tend to my plants.

And of course while all of that is going on I must tend to these two boys as well.
They have really taken a back seat in our lives. We try to still give them the attention that they need. Daily Moses HAS to have the ball thrown for him.  This is typical image of them. Moses chases the ball nonstop for about 20 minutes. Game has interest in the ball until he notices Moses getting tired. THEN he goes after it only to get it and keep it away from Moses. What a brat!

Here are some pictures of Sid. He is hilarious when we are playing outside. First of all, he is obsessed with balls. He doesn't want  play with the kids with them though. He just likes to walk all over the yard gathering them up and throwing them on his own. I think I should follow this child around with a video camera all day. He would defiantly win us some cash.

Surfing at Sunset

For Asher's birthday this year the theme was surfing. He loves the beach and he loves to watch the surfers. It is also fitting since this is his first birthday here in Charleston.
So when Nicki and I were talking about the theme we thought it would be a good idea to get some "surfing" picture of him for the invitation. Nicki and I took Asher and William to Folly at sunset for a little shoot.
He love to load up that dumptruck with sand.

and he REALLY loves to "unload" the dump truck.

It may seem like I only took pictures of William. I actually only got those few ones of William and a million ones of Asher with the surfboard.

There were so many that we liked. It was hard to narrow them down for the invites.
Here is the invitaion.

I thought Asher would really like the surfing pictures so I had a 12x24 scrapbook page mounted for him to display at the party. It was really cool. Everyone signed it with birthday wishes.
