random day at the Drolet house

I was looking through my folder of photos from the month of May. I came across this batch of photos from a day that didn't look out of the ordinary at all. Actually I barley remember even taking the photos.

The day was May 20th.

William's face is dirty (like I said, it really was a normal day).
He played on the back porch after breakfast.
Photobucket

Then he came into the living room to play with his car for a little while.
Photobucket

Then.....well, he stood on his head. I thought I was the only one standing on my head this early in the day.
Photobucket

After nap he annoyed the dog for a little while.
Photobucket

He is wearing a different outfit at this point in the day. I am sure he must have dumped his lunch all over his clothes, or spit milk/juice all over himself hoping the dogs would lick it off of him as he giggled or ......well who knows?

After I tell him to leave the dog alone he does this.......
Photobucket What in the world? You may ask. Here are my guesses.......
perhaps he is admiring Game from a different angle, or trying to stay out of trouble with his cuteness, or (and this is my guess) cleverly disobeying Mama.

Later, we played outside for a little while. And YET AGAIN he is in a different outfit. There is no telling???? It must have been a rough day!
Photobucket

He loves to swing!

On this particular day, I took pitcures of some of my plants.

I love my shamrocks. They were an Easter gift from Aunt Theresa.

William! Stay out of the dog water!

Throwing the ball in the backyard.

I babysat Asher and Sid. The cousins playing in the kitchen after baths.
Photobucket

....the day is almost over (sigh).
Photobucket

William, even though we both stood on our heads a couple of times on this day, and even though you went through THREE sets of clothes (for reasons stated earlier), and even though you would not leave the dog alone (at all), and even though I was rocking you in that chair as you were squirming and resisted the onset of
sleep....(sigh), and even though I am sure that I fell into bed exhausted, wornout, and drained. William my love, moments like these with you make doing it all over again the next day oh so sweet. Even as I lay in bed (not resisting the onset of sleep) I know that I still couldnt wait to walk into your room the next morning to hear the babble that you came up with as you slept, to see that big grin as I walked through that door only to do it all over again.

beach night with cousins

Have I mentioned that I LOVE living 5 minutes from the beach?! Well....I DO!
Photobucket
We made a family trip to the beach with Nicki and the boys. There were 3 adults, 3 kids, and 2 dogs!

I think this is William's third time this year at the beach. He has warmed up more and more each visit. This time he was ready to walk right into the ocean. He loves water and has no fear of it either.

This is him looking at the water. What must that look like to 1 year old.....pure wonder.
Photobucket

My sunshine boy.....

Photobucket

Asher is not really interested in the water yet. He is a little afraid...but dont tell him I told you that.

Of course I couldnt leave out my other boys.....

Asher wanted to sit on the rocks, but Game had to be there to protect him. He whined and climbed just to get near Asher.
Photobucket
I really hate that I didnt get a photo of all three of the kids together. But, there will be opportunities for that shot I am sure.
Photobucket

Thank you Jesus for Asher!

This kid says the funniest things I have ever heard. He is clever, witty, imaginative, and beyond intelligent. I am not just saying that because he is my nephew either. He is crazy smart!
There are few things I wanted to put on here because I want to remember them when I am an old lady.

Asher spent the night at my house a few days ago. I love having him here, but the hardest part is keeping him quiet while William sleeps. To do that I have to keep Asher occupied. It is a nice treat for him and me though to spend some time together with just us and no babies around. He likes to color and draw so that is something that we do a lot.
I was on the computer and Asher came over to tell me all about what he just "drawed" (as Asher would say).
Here is the conversation:

Asher: "wook at the pictures I drawed Gogo."
Me (Gogo): "oh wow, tell me what they are."
Asher: "this is a great, big, dinosaur. He will bite you! This is his mouth, and tail, and nose......but I didn't draw him any eyes because I don't want him wooking (looking) at me."

That cracked me up so much!!!

He just started going to church with me regularly a couple weeks ago. The first Sunday on our way home I was asking him about his class and what he thought. he said he liked it a lot and they had a lot of fun.
I asked if he liked his teacher. He said yes. I asked him if she taught him about Jesus and who Jesus is. He said yes. Then I asked him what she said about Jesus.
Asher said, " all she said was thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus" then with a shrug of his shoulders he said "that's all she said."

Thank you Jesus for this amazing child.

Sunday at the Park

On Sunday I took William and Asher to James Island County Park. They had a blast! I was surprised to see the splash zone open. I didn't think it would be open so I didn't put swim trunks on the boys. They played on the playground for a little while and had a lot of fun. But as I watched all the kids playing in the slash zone I just couldn't resist letting them get in in their shorts.

William was very cautious about the water. He played on the side most of the time, stomping in puddles.

Photobucket

He was curious about the water shooting out. As he watched from the side he would reach out his little hand towards the water and say "oooooooooo."

Asher had a BLAST!! Of course we had a BIG talk about peeing in the water. I was not going to risk what happened at Sid's birthday party happening again. He is a very smart and obedient child and very much wants to please his Aunt Gogo. He was really good.

Photobucket

He screamed and laughed the entire time.
Photobucket

Photobucket

He meets no stranger. He made lots of "fwends" that day.

Photobucket

and he played his little heart out.
Photobucket

I love this boy!
Photobucket

Photobucket

Dont let be fooled by the intensity in William's face. He had a great time too!
Photobucket

Even after all of the water fun Asher still wanted to play on the playground some more.
Photobucket

They both had a ball swinging.......
Photobucket

oops! That is an "intense" face......this is more like it.

Photobucket

Asher.....he enjoys everything in life.

Dont tell me that that child is not tired! He was so upset when it was time to leave.
