Chirstmas Pictures

It has been a while since I have taken the time to write. I am on Christmas break right now. I have a couple more weeks until I am back in school. I went o Macon for Christmas. I had a great time! I enjoyed the boys so much. Asher is really starting to talk now, and calls me BoBo, trying to say JoJo. One of the cutest things Asher says to people is "sit down" even if you already are sitting. It is really funny....it must be his favorite thing to say!

My dad dressed as Santa for them Christmas morning. They dont understand the Santa thing yet, but it was a lot fun for us. I have it on video! It was even funnier when Asher told Santa to "sit down."
The grandkids really liked sitting on Santa's lap..........

And so did the big kids!

We created a lot of wonderful memories this year. I am looking forward to the wonderful year that is ahead for my family and myself. I am a very blessed woman with so much to be thankful for.

Perfect Morning

One of my favorite things about living in Charleston is living near the beach. I am a little bit of a drive away, but the trip is always worth the time.
Especially considering the fact that for the last 2 years I have lived 16 hours away!
A few weeks ago the opportunity presented itself for me to be able to take the dogs to the beach one morning. Since it would take so much time to drive to school then home and then to the beach, actually going with the dogs is hard. I usually have class from 8 am-11:15am, but this particular morning I had a class in my first class, and my next class had been canceled for the week.
Since the test would only take 30 minutes, I let the dogs stay in the car while I was taking the test. When I was finished I drove out to Sullivan's Island. It is one of my favorite places here. The beaches are more like private or residential beaches, not commercial at all.
I stopped in this cute cafe for a latte and headed down to the water. The dogs got to run free, playing in the ocean, chasing birds and wearing themselves out! I enjoyed every moment of watching them and running with them. I especially enjoyed my delicious caffeine....I mean coffee. It was a beautiful morning.
It was the perfect morning.

New Scrapbook Page

I haven't had a lot of time to play on PhotoShop lately. Things are a little crazy and getting crazier as final draw closer.
But I squeezed in a some fun time to play with these pictures of Aidan and Asher. I love to archive these precious moments with them.

Pictures of Aidan & Asher

Cute Video

This is a video that I took over the weekend in Georgia. I love that even though my dogs are enormousWhen Asher is at my house, Game follows him around, right on his heels, observing everything he does and listening to every noise he makes. Moses on the other hand is not as interested in kids. While Game allows them to climb on him, pet him (which is a lot like hitting him) Moses will allow it for a minute but then gets up and looks for the quietest place to hide. This video is so cute of Asher "petting" Game. The funniest part to me too is Moses in the background. The first half of the video is the cute part.

Update....and of course a new page

Everything is going really good here. I love South Carolina! The Drolet family has been especially wonderful to me too. They have welcomed me with open arms into their home and life. I don't know what to with this kind of love from people that were strangers to me just 6 years ago. They are truly the most wonderful blessing in my life right now.
I love all the land that we live on. It makes for a great yard for my babies. Mr. Drolet (Mr. Mark) and I have the best talks about the Lord almost daily with our coffee each morning. I have never been one that can read the Bible before being awake for more than 1-2 hours (much less hold a conversation) but he always has a lot to tell me even as I walk in the door for the much needed first cup of coffee. When I am at school he is a nanny to the dogs. He calls them little monsters....affectionately of course. They have made themselves a special place in his heart.
Angela is becoming one of my best friends. We spend a lot of time together. We are so much a like that it is crazy.....especially since there are 30 something years between us. We both love to be creative, we love the natural lifestyle and find ourselves at Whole Foods and the farmer's market quite a bit. More than anything else that we may have in common though is our love of laughter. We are so goofy together! We have such a great time together...most of it in stitches.....I guess that is all the Irish in us.
I sometimes wonder if this is the kind of relationship that I would have had with my own mama if she were here today. As an adult I think we would have been good friends.

I have another 4 weeks of school. Everything is wrapping up and finals are coming nearer and nearer.
I cant believe that Christmas is almost here too. I actually started a couple of gifts that I have been planning today.
I have finished editing all the pictures I took of Aidan and Asher from last weekend. Hopefully I will put a slide show up tomorrow.
I gotta run now, I have a test tomorrow and a Hamlet paper to work on.

Here is a page a did a few weeks back that I forgot to post. The pictures are from September when I went Georgia to visit my family.
I adore these pictures of my dad and Asher.
I think they say it all.........

My Weekend In Georgia

I went to Macon over the weekend. I had a wonderful time with my family, esecially my adorable nephews Aiden and Asher. Being Aunt JoJo is by far the greatest joy on earth!
This was my first time meeting Aiden, who is my brother Matthew's little boy. He is such a sweet boy. He calls me Aunt GoGo.
I have so much to post and lots of pictures to share but very little time right now.
Here are some pictures for now.....

Home Sweet Home

I made a trip to Georgia this weekend. I drove down Friday night for Ricky's 21st birthday party.
I stayed a while but left thinking for the first time in my 24 years that.....I am too old for this.
The next day Nicki and I scraped Ricky off the ground and we headed to Atlanta to see my dad and then later to my unlce Joe's house.
It was really nice seeing everyone. Asher is still very adorable. I love every moment with that little boy.
My other nephew, Aiden is moving to Macon this week so I am looking forward to getting know him too. He is 2 1/2.
I am glad to be back home. Back to my everyday schedule. I missed my doggies like something awful. I have never been away from them for more than a day.
There is nothing like that kind of greeting when you return.
I would love to write more, but I am short on time. Here are some pictures.

It's a Wonderful life in South Carolina

It is hard to believe that I have been living here for 1 1/2 months. I really love my new home. It is a bit of a fixer upper....since it has been storage space the last 15 years or so. The funny and somewhat prophetic thing is that the place I stay in is an old school building. How funny is that?! Every time I am in Charleston, just driving from point A to point B, I am still amazed by this beautiful city. For the last 6 years I have been coming here with Shea for vacations and breaks. Now, to live here is simply wonderful.
One of the great places is The Battery in downtown. I enjoy walking along and taking in the beautiful view of the ocean and islands in the distance. A little piece of history.....One of the islands in the distance is Ft. Sumter. That is where the first shots of the Revolutionary War were fired.
A few days ago we went down to the Battery. I took the dogs(of course).
Here is a page I made of that day.

Here are some from the Folly Beach too.
Enjoy!

Long Time Coming

Okay...I know it has been way too long since I posted anything on my blog. There is just so much to fill everyone in on.
My my move and transition to South Carolina has been quite a little adventure. After 4 or 5 months of daydreaming and fantasizing about a fresh start here, it is a surreal to be actually living that fantasy out.
I love my new home. The Drolets have been wonderful to me. Mr. Mark has been a saint in helping me get into my house, fixing things and making this a home for me and the pups.
Mrs. Angela is also very caring to me. She has made me feel welcome here. She has shown me many places that are a part of her life. I enjoy our friendship and all the time that we spend together, from grocery shopping, walks with the dogs, cleaning to watching movies.
The dogs are also very happy here. They love to be outside in the sunshine. The heat though is a little much for them. Mr. Mark bought them a kiddo pool though. They love that! It is great for cooling off and baths.

The highlight of my move though was this past weekend. My sister and nephew came for a visit.
I got to see my nephew, Asher for the very first time. He just turned 11 months. He is so adorable and full of personality. My sister is a wonderful mother to him. He is a happy little boy!

The weekend was a lot of fun. We went to downtown Charleston on Saturday. There we had lunch and walked around to the shops. We also went to Waterfront Park downtown. The baby play in the fountain we took a walk on the pier.
On Sunday we went to Sullivan's Island. It was a wonderful experience to be there as he saw the ocean for the first time.
The last day they were here. Asher rode our pony Cricket. It was so cute. He wasn't afraid at all. He bounced up and down. As he reached forward to pet the pony, he affectionately called him "doggy."
I must have taken about a thousand pictures of them all weekend. So loading all of them would take a year! Here are some cute ones though.

New Scrapbook Pages

Leaving behind friends is never easy. It is somewhat comforting to know that visiting one another is possible. But it is not as simple though for "furry friends." Knowing that flying dogs is not easily done, it is sad that the dogs will not see each other again. They are going to miss Jake so much. I will miss him too!
This picture is from a day at the lake with the 3 of them.

This is a picture of Moses and me from Colorado.
I love this boy:>

Update!!

Well here is the 411 on my life and the move. I am working until Tuesday the 22ND. I get off of work that morning at 8 AM. Hopefully getting loaded and on the road will not take too long. We will probably be on the road by 10 AM. On the way, we are going to stop in St. Lois for an hour or two. Since I have lived here I have wanted to make a trip out there but the time never came. Every time that I have driven through it, it has been in the middle of the night so taking in the sights was impossible.
The main thing I would like to do is see "Gateway to the West." It would be nice to drive the 17 hours straight through, but I know that I cant do that. If I wasnt driving alone it would be a little easier. The dogs will be with me in the car. The good thing is that they are terrific passengers. They love to be on any raod trip. Even though I miss my kitty cat Hadassah, it would have been awful driving this far with her.
So, by Thursday afternoon we will be in Charelston. YEAH!! The internet is dial up there so blogging and emailing will be a little on the slow side (understatement).
Week one of being there will be very busy. I have to meet with advisers and register for classes. It will be a huge releif to have all of that taken care of.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

The Memory is Forever

This is a picture of me with the dogs from a few weeks ago. As the move draws nearer I am becoming more and more excited, but there are times that I am reminded of how many things I will miss about this place. This is one of those moments.

Soaking up the Sunshine

I love this picture of Game and Moses.
Almost daily, after a long walk in the heat we will make a trip to the lake.
If there is no one in sight then, when we get out I let them run freely to the water. I love the water as much as they do.
It is so calm and relaxing. They are just pure entertainment! We have created some great memories out there. Since they were each puppies, this place has been a big part of our lives. In a couple of weeks I will be trading this lake for the ocean. I think I can live with that!!
