There hasn't been a lot going on in the last week or so. But for some reason I feel like there is so much to post that I don't know where to begin. I guess it really was a crazy week. We started off the week with Ricky's bedroom floor flooding. And after 3 days of people in and out of the house we finally got the bottom of that problem.
I suppose that the reason I feel like there is so much to post is due to the amazing growth of William in the last 2 weeks.
I feel like there is so much to share about William(as always). This child is changing daily. Growing so fast! He is constantly making new discoveries. Life around here is much different as compared to a couple of months ago, even a couple of weeks ago.

It used to be all about feeding, changing and putting him down for naps. Now it is all about PLAYTIME!
Photobucket
He really likes to be on the floor with toys. A major development is that he started rolling from his back to his tummy. (videos to come)
It is really funny too to see how the dogs are starting to really notice him. Actually it is only Game that even cares about his existence.
He is really cute with. When William is playing on the floor, if Game is in the mood to play he will go find his teddy bear and push it against the baby, try to nudge him. Photobucket
Other times he comes over as close as a he can and lays down right beside him. He likes to sneak in a few kisses too.
Photobucket
This is definatley one of the funniest pictures from this week. I guess back time isnt just fun for babies.

On to more "playtime" news......
I mentioned to Shea last week that I thought William would enjoy a jumpy thing (cant think of the name). And Shea in all of his wonderfulness went out and got him one. He wasn't exactly convinced that William would even use....but William took care of that. We pulled one off the shelf in the middle of the store and put him in it. He went nuts!! So that was all the selling that Daddy needed. He will do anything to make that baby's face light up.
Photobucket
It has become the main source of entertainment around here. (for the grown-ups too)
The first night he had it, he played and jumped constantly, until he literally couldn't play anymore.

I love this page of Ricky and William. I am so glad that Ricky moved to Charleston. It has been wonderful having my little brother around. I am so proud of the man he is becoming. His maturity and kindness amazes me everyday. I think it so neat that the day he moved here was the day William was born. we didnt plan it that way at all.
He is a great uncle to William (and the other boys too).Photobucket
He holds him, plays with him all the time. When Ricky talks to William his little face just lights up. It's nice having him around the house too. During the day if Shea is gone, it's great to have someone so willing to pitch in with the baby. He is a great help, but there are a few things that Uncle Ricky just cant handle.
1. Diaper changes
2. Spit up
3. Fussiness
I know that one of these things has happened because I will hear "uhhhhh Jo, I think he wants you."
One time Ricky came in the room to talk to me while I had the baby on the changing table. He came around the corner and saw that I was actually taking him temperature. Ricky said, "oh my gosh , Jo...what are you doing!?" I told him and he was like, "No! Cant you do it under his arm or something?" He couldnt even stay in the room.
I cant wait to see him with his own kids!
William is a lucky little boy, to have such a fun and loving uncle.

This week....

This week in the Drolet house has been both a mixture of the same ole day to day mixed in with some good family fun.
William gets cuter and cuter everyday. He is growing so fast. This week he has found his voice. He is squealing and babbling all the time. It is really cute to watch.

For a while he has been able to scoot around when he is on his tummy. I know I am a bad mama but I do let him sleep on his tummy. At night I will put him down in the middle of the crib and when I get him up the next morning he is completely on the other side, sometimes turned on his back and facing the other direction. Friday I put him on the floor for a minute and when I turned to look at him instead of just scooting he was army crawling. It was so exciting to watch him. I think this little boy will be on the go in no time.

We made a trip to the beach this week too. It was late in the evening and a little overcast. But still it was a lot of fun.

Even though we are total beach people and love to spend time there, there are ulterior motives to those trips to the beach. It gets a a ton of energy out of my insane dogs!
They are awesome dogs, but I have so much less time now to devote to them. They are walked everyday, but these boys need and deserve a trip to the shore every once and a while.

Not to mention how great it is the next day when they sleep ALL DAY!

They add so much enjoyment to anything we do with them. When we make plans as a family it is always with these two boys in mind. We try to find activities that we can include them in.

Game is so funny at the beach. He constantly goes back and forth to where are things are, checking on them. I guess he has to make sure that everything is still there. Game is all about us. He wants to have constant human interaction. He plays in the water but usually he avoids getting in very deep. He plops himself down and a wave comes and he jumps up, scurrying away. There is only one thing that will make him get in......that is if he feels that he needs to rescue or protect us. Game freaks out with panic when one of us gets too far away from him.

This is him trying to get to Ricky. He can not play or facus anything if he is out too far.
Photobucket

He almost went under, trying to "rescue" Ricky. Photobucket

I dont know what I would do with out this boy. I love this picture of him. It truly captures who he is and what I love so much about him.
Photobucket
Then there is Moses...Moses, Moses Moses, my sweet Moses. If we were ever in danger I am sure that he would be upset, but if there was a tennis ball in sight that would have to take precident. He is the opposite of Game in every way.

Photobucket

Unlike Game he will go under water, but not to rescue one of us. Maybe he would if we were in possession of his ball.

Photobucket

William likes the water a lot. He loves to be in the swimming pool, the bath tub, the sink....so the ocean is no different. It is really cute, when we do put him in he stares at his feet the whole time. This discovery of his feet has turned into an obsession. It's crazy to think that next year he will be walking on the beach.

New Discovery

After a couple of weeks of looking at his feet with such curiosity he started grabbing at them. Now whenever possible he has them in his hands. It is the cutest thing! I can barley get a diaper on him sometimes because he is so fascinated with them.

Playtime

I thought these were cute.
This is how William sits in his bouncy seat.
That bouncy seat by the way is my best friend most days.
He loves to sit in that thing...and Mama gets a lot done when he does.

Here are some of him playing on the floor. He is discovering toys now.

4 month check up

William went to his four month check up this week. He is doing great. He is 14lb 8 oz, 23 1/2 inches long. A great size for a baby that was born as big as he was. Everything checked out good too.
He had to get 3 shots, which is always very sad for mama.
The good news is that he is absolutely perfect, but there is bad news.......this FOUR month old baby is TEETHING!!! My FOUR month old baby...did I mention that he is FOUR months?!

We also started rice cereal a couple days ago. He spits most of it out. He is starting to get the hang of it though. As you can see in that picture of him smiling, he is starting to realize this is a sign of good things to come.
